The EU Referendum in 2016 was a defining moment in British politics. Bridgend as a county voted to Leave by 54.6% to 45.5%. Despite voting Remain, as your voice in Parliament I respect this result and will campaign to ensure that any Brexit planning considers Wales, and provides the best possible outcome for Bridgend’s residents, tourists and businesses.
However, I also want to work to be inclusive and to take account of the wishes of those people who would not have chosen Brexit. We all need to be involved to make Brexit a success for Bridgend. I will be the voice of 100% of Bridgend residents, not the 55% or the 45%.
